Lighthouse, Poole's Centre for the Arts, is the largest arts centre in the UK outside London — located in Poole, Dorset (the slug's 'london' is wrong; the Ticketmaster listing is a Poole concert). It is a multi-space complex built around a 1,476-capacity Concert Hall, home to the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, plus a 669-seat theatre, a 130-seat studio, a 103-seat cinema and a gallery. The Concert Hall's unique floor mechanism lets it switch from a fully raked auditorium to a flat-floor standing space, so it hosts everything from orchestral evenings to touring rock, pop and tribute acts. As a professionally run producing venue it provides full in-house technical production and PA rather than relying on bring-your-own equipment.
