Komedia Brighton is the city's premier independent entertainment venue, in the heart of the North Laine at 44–47 Gardner Street. Across a cavernous basement room and a smaller, more intimate Studio it programmes comedy, live music, cabaret, club nights and kids' shows. The main basement holds up to 290 seated or 400 standing, with a house PA and technical staff; the Studio is a regular Brighton Fringe and Great Escape space well suited to folk, experimental and indie-rock acts. A long-standing, fully equipped venue at the centre of Brighton's grassroots and touring music scene.
