Holmeside Hall Social Club is a long-established working men's club founded in 1955 on Myrtle Avenue in Dunston Hill / Whickham East, Gateshead (NE11 9UD), in the Tyne and Wear area. Its large concert room holds up to 250 and stages live acts every Saturday night — typically covers, tribute and function bands such as The Billy Black Band — with both original and cover material welcome. Reasonably priced drinks, a friendly community atmosphere and an 11am–11pm operation make it a classic grassroots social-club venue; the room also takes bookings for charity functions, wedding receptions and private parties.
