Great Barr Library is a Sandwell community library in Great Barr (postal Birmingham, West Midlands) that doubles as a small grassroots events space. Through the year it programmes free afternoon concerts and music sessions — rock & roll afternoons, tribute singers (e.g. David Campbell), the Sedgley Strummers ukulele group covering hits from many styles and eras, plus resident groups such as the Library Singers. Events are free to attend in person but require registration with the library on 0121 569 4929 or greatbarr_library@sandwell.gov.uk. An intimate, daytime, community-run setting rather than a late-night gig venue.
