The Golden Lion is a cult independent pub and music venue at Fielden Square in Todmorden, West Yorkshire (OL14 6LZ) — a craft-beer bar housed in the town's oldest building, serving hardcore Thai food right up to doors. Across two levels it has a 250-capacity downstairs pub and dancefloor and an 80-capacity live room upstairs with a floating DJ booth, hosting an eclectic roster of live bands, DJs and community events and running its own Golden Lion Sounds record label. Despite its small-town setting it has drawn names like Jarvis Cocker, Groove Armada, The Orb, Goldie, Leftfield, Don Letts and the late Andrew Weatherall, and Vice called it 'a shining example of small-town ingenuity and community spirit.'
