Conway Hall in Red Lion Square is the Art Deco home of the Conway Hall Ethical Society — thought to be the oldest surviving freethought organisation in the world. Opened in 1929, its Main Hall hosts talks, performances, community events and concerts, and is famous for the longest-running chamber-music series in Europe, the Sunday Concerts, whose lineage stretches back to 1880. With a Main Hall capacity of around 499, it's an intimate, historic central-London room rather than a rock club.
