Chinnerys is Southend-on-Sea's premier live music venue, a part-pub, part-club room on Marine Parade overlooking the seafront with a roughly 400 capacity and one of the largest stages on the Essex circuit. Despite its size it keeps an intimate feel, and over the years has hosted everyone from local bands and tribute acts to names like Arctic Monkeys and The Libertines early in their careers. It is a stalwart of the south-east grassroots rock and indie scene.
