Carats Cafe Bar is a family-run beachfront cafe-bar on Basin Road South at Southwick Beach, just west of Brighton, with a long history in the city's dance-music scene — it hosted the legendary Positive Sounds and Tribal Energy acid-house raves back in the early '90s. Today it stays open seven days a week with live music and DJ events at weekends, leaning into house, techno, breaks and drum & bass on its seaside terrace.
