Cabaret Voltaire is one of Edinburgh's most iconic independent venues, set in the atmospheric subterranean vaults beneath Blair Street in the Old Town. The main room runs a state-of-the-art d&b soundsystem and is well known as a nightclub for electronic and techno alongside a busy programme of touring live music and comedy. It holds around 230 standing (90 seated) for live events and is an official Edinburgh Fringe venue every year.
