About Blondies

Blondies is a grassroots music venue in Lower Clapton, London with a standing capacity of approximately 50. Bring your own PA, mics and instruments.

Blondies books Metal, Punk, Rock, Hardcore acts. Both original music and covers are welcome. This listing is part of the London venue directory.

Blondies is a tiny, much-loved dive bar and grassroots music venue at 205a Lower Clapton Road in East London, opened in 2016 by Australian sisters Verity and Sharmaine Cox and kitted out with their own wonky hand-made furnishings. With a capacity of around 50 it's the closest thing London has to a scuzzy New York dive, hosting raucous gig nights that have drawn names as big as Mastodon and Refused. Fiercely independent and proudly LGBTQIA+ welcoming, it's a cult cornerstone of the capital's rock, punk and metal underground.
