This listing is part of the Stroud venue directory.

The Crown & Sceptre on Horns Road is a proper community pub on the edge of Stroud, with a fabulous south-facing garden and a serious commitment to grassroots live music — named CAMRA Stroud Pub of the Year 2026. Bands play regularly on Fridays (free gigs as standard, with a 'Buy The Band a Drink' till button and a 'Pay What You Can' option to support the artists), and there's an open mic on the last Thursday of every month for originals and covers across mixed genres. Real ales lean local, with two from Uley Ales plus rotating guests and cider. Alongside the music it runs a monthly quiz, knit-and-natter, backgammon and poker nights. A warm, music-first local.
