Coda is a multi-award-winning, ~200-capacity grassroots live-music venue at 63 High Street, Colchester (CO1 1DN). Established in 2018 inside a building that dates to 1905 — the former Grand Palace of Varieties, with ornate original ceilings and balconies enhanced by modern lighting and lasers — it's the beating heart of the local scene. Programming focuses on local grassroots music, jazz and blues, plus the best up-and-coming and touring bands, club nights, cover bands, open mic nights and a regular weekly jam. An in-house PA supports both original and covers acts.
