BOX is a lively bar on Glasgow's iconic Sauchiehall Street, with the stage set literally in the front window so passers-by can watch the action. It's renowned for supporting local musicians and runs live entertainment seven nights a week. Its famous Tuesday open mic — hosted by Ross Leighton (Fatherson) and Callum Wiseman (Prides) — is a fixture on the Glasgow circuit: add your name to the list and the hosts call you up when it's your turn. BOX opens at 6pm on Tuesdays and runs to 3am, with a house PA and backline so solo songwriters, duos and full bands all get a fair crack at one of the UK's strongest open-mic scenes.
