The Giffard Arms is Wolverhampton's only dedicated rock pub, a gothic-styled city-centre institution serving up rock, metal and alternative across two floors. Its first-floor live room, The Darkroom, has a strong reputation for quality gigs — from up-and-coming local unsigned bands to national touring groups, tribute and covers acts. Owner Wendy Shone has run it for over 20 years; the ~80-capacity room pairs a solid in-house PA with coffin tables, gothic decor and a 3am weekend licence.
