Café René is a long-running, characterful pub, restaurant and live-music venue in the heart of Gloucester on Southgate Street, a champion of grassroots music since 2003. It hosts regular nights of DJs, bands and artists across a myriad of genres — typically live music every Wednesday and Friday — with an underground cellar bar for events and an acclaimed annual summer blues festival that draws performers from around the globe. A PA is provided for performers in this intimate, ~100-capacity room.
