Brewery Arts is Kendal's flagship arts venue — a cinema, live-arts space, restaurant and bar converted from the old Vaux Brewery in 1972. Its main gig space, the Malt Room, is a flexible room holding 420 standing for gigs, 298 fully seated or 150 cabaret-style, alongside a 263-seat raked theatre and smaller studio rooms. The live-music programme is broad — folk, jazz, indie, world and acoustic touring acts plus comedy — and it runs with in-house PA and technical staff.
