Built in 1938 on Babbacombe Downs, Babbacombe Theatre is a 600-seat venue on the English Riviera running one of the longest variety seasons in the country, from roughly February to October plus a Christmas show. The programme leans to variety, comedy, swing and tribute/touring acts (recent bills include Harry Hill, The British Carpenters and Down for the Count) rather than original-band gigs.
