The 1 in 12 Club on Albion Street is a member-run, not-for-profit DIY venue that has been a cornerstone of Bradford's punk and hardcore scene since 1981. Founded on anarchist principles of self-management, co-operation and mutual aid, the multi-floor building pairs a roughly 90-cap basement gig space with the second-largest anarchist library in Europe. It still books touring punk acts — Subhumans play here on 24 April 2026 — making it one of the longest-running autonomous music spaces in the UK.
