About Ye Olde Salutation Inn
Ye Olde Salutation Inn — 'The Sal' — sits at the foot of Hounds Gate near Maid Marian Way in Nottingham city centre. A Grade II listed pub with origins traced to around 1240, it's a long-standing favourite of the local rock and metal crowd, hosting regular live music and club nights in the evenings, backed by a touchscreen jukebox and a famously atmospheric ale selection. Open daily from 10am with late nights to 1am at weekends, it even runs occasional cellar tours of its medieval hiding spots. A genuine grassroots rock room with house PA; originals and covers both welcome.
