About The Shoulder Of Mutton Lockwood
The Shoulder of Mutton is a traditional real-ale pub and music venue at 11 Neale Road, Lockwood, Huddersfield (HD1 3TN), serving since 1771. Its dark-wood interior with lead-lined windows is so well preserved it features on CAMRA's National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors as a Two Star interior of very special national historic interest. Behind the heritage it bills itself as a 'Pub and Music Venue', with live music on Saturdays, eight real ales on the bar, two snug rooms either side of a medium-sized bar, and a pool room upstairs. A characterful small (around 80-capacity) grassroots room in the heart of Lockwood.
