About This Open Mic
The Night
The Bedford on the High Street is one of Tunbridge Wells' most established music-and-events pubs — fully refurbished in late 2025 — and open mic nights sit within a packed calendar that also runs Live Music Fridays, quizzes, comedy, poker and karaoke. It's an intimate room (seating for around 50) so the open mic has a close, supportive feel. About The Bedford
The Bedford sits right in the heart of Royal Tunbridge Wells, opposite the station, and was fully refurbished in October 2025 into a buzzing alehouse, sports bar and live-music pub. It pours ten keg beers and ciders plus two classic cask ales — Harvey's Best and Timothy Taylor's Landlord — and is renowned for live music, with a band usually playing every Saturday evening and on the last Sunday of the month. Downstairs, the 'Lost in Tunbridge Wells' underground bar adds DJs, cocktails and more live music. Ten big screens cover Sky and TNT sport, there's interactive darts and poker nights, and dogs are welcome. A lively, well-equipped grassroots room for rock, pop and covers acts.
