The Night
The Young Performers Open Mic at Mansfield Palace Theatre Bar is a bimonthly Monday-evening night (6-8pm, GBP 2) created as a safe, friendly space for young creatives aged 13 to 21 to find their feet on stage. Hosted by local writer and poet Mia Hagues, it welcomes a real mix of acts, with past evenings featuring poetry, live music and even stand-up comedy. Performers sign up in advance via an online form, and audiences of all ages are welcome.

The Palace Theatre Bar sits inside Mansfield's Palace Theatre on Leeming Street, the town's council-run, mid-scale touring theatre. Alongside its programme of shows and screenings it runs community events, including a bimonthly Young Performers Open Mic (6-8pm) that gives creatives aged 13 to 21 a safe, friendly space to try poetry, live music and stand-up comedy on stage, with audiences of all ages welcome.
