About This Open Mic
The Night
LeftBank runs one of Bristol's biggest weekly open mics every Wednesday in Stokes Croft, hosted by Ollie Dennison. It's completely free and famously eclectic — music, poetry, comedy and even dance all welcome — and the night rounds off with an open jam where everyone's invited up to play together into the early hours (it runs 8pm to 1am). The sign-up sheet goes live at 8pm and the place is rammed, so arrive early to bag a slot. There's a house PA and a drum kit on stage; bring your own amp and instrument.
