The Night
Chaplin's & The Cellar Bar is an award-winning, Charlie Chaplin-themed independent bar in Boscombe with live entertainment seven nights a week. Its open mic lands every Wednesday from 9pm and pulls in genuinely good talent from near and far in a relaxed, music-loving cellar room. If you miss it, there's also a free Thursday showcase (Rubber Soul, hosted by Conrad Barr, from 9:30pm) for up-and-coming acts across all genres. A proper grass-roots music pub — turn up, put your name down, and play.
About Chaplin's & The Cellar Bar
Chaplin's & The Cellar Bar is a much-loved independent live-music venue at 529 Christchurch Road in Boscombe, Bournemouth (BH1 4AG). It puts live music on its stage seven nights a week alongside theatre, poetry, comedy and film. The weekly calendar is anchored by a Wednesday open mic from 9pm, a free 'Rubber Soul' Thursday showcase hosted by Conrad Barr for up-and-coming acts of all genres (onstage 9.30pm), fortnightly Danny Peacock-hosted Sunday Sessions, and 'Poetry on The Spot' on the second Tuesday of each month. With a roughly 90-capacity room and an in-house PA, it's a genuine grassroots hub for emerging Dorset talent.
