About Barrelhouse
Barrelhouse, reborn in July 2021 at 33 Gordon Road in Clifton, channels the classic dive bars of the American South while keeping the bones of a traditional British boozer. Spread over several levels with an open rooftop terrace, it serves freshly made cocktails, local and international beers and handmade Detroit-style pizzas — and runs live music and events all year round. The programme leans towards roots, jazz and Latin, with regulars like the Barrel House Vipers (1920s–30s trad jazz and swing) and Los Musicos Latin Band. With its in-house PA it's a friendly, characterful Clifton room for everything from a quiet weeknight set to a packed weekend gig.
