The Red Lion is a traditional real ale and cider pub on the Market Square in Evesham that has carved out a proper reputation as a town-centre live music spot. Every Thursday the floor in front of the piano becomes an open stage for anyone who wants to share a few songs, and live bands play two Saturday nights a month. There's also a monthly all-female open mic, 'She Sings She Writes', on the third Tuesday. The house rule is simple: every note is live, so no backing tracks.
