We couldn't verify a recurring open mic at Westgate Hall. It's one of Canterbury's most versatile community venues — a beautiful open hall hosting bands, salsa classes, comedy, wine tastings and more — but its current events calendar shows no regular open mic night, only weekly salsa and hire bookings. The only open-mic trace is a single past 'Tropical Vegan Feast and Open Mic Afternoon'. The previously listed weekly Thursday folk open mic appears to have been fabricated; treat as not currently running until the venue confirms.
About The Westgate Hall
Westgate Hall is a long-standing community venue at 1 Westgate Hall Road inside Canterbury's city walls (CT1 2BT), a dynamic public space for over a century and just 0.4 miles from Canterbury West station. One of the city's most eclectic rooms, it programmes everything from gigs to salsa classes, wine tastings, wrestling and drag bingo. On the music side it has hosted folk, rock and acoustic acts including Oysterband, Shakatak, Karnataka and Katherine Priddy, and runs community-led nights welcoming local performers.
