The Night
Platform Bar is a small street-level music bar above The Underground in Bradford's city centre, running a monthly Acoustic Open Mic in its back room on a Thursday from 7pm to 11:30pm. It's an intimate, grassroots night (the room takes around 12-20 people) covering live music, with comedy and spoken word also part of the wider programme. Entry is free and no advance booking is required — just turn up and put your name down.
About Platform Bar
Platform Bar at 9 Duke Street, Bradford (BD1 3QR) is the little-sister bar to The Underground — Bradford's grassroots and touring music venue (open since 2016). Platform serves food, cocktails and alcohol-free drinks with free entry all week, and its weekday schedule puts on intimate back-room events across live music, comedy and spoken word for crowds of around 12–20. A small, friendly stage for stripped-back sets in the heart of the city, backed by The Underground's larger main room next door.
