About Bar Rakuda

Bar Rakuda is a pizzeria and bar on Quay Road, right on Plymouth's historic Barbican waterfront (PL1 2JZ). It runs live music every night — a mix of local DJs, acoustic acts and a weekly Tuesday open mic — and makes a feature of al fresco, undercover live sets on its outdoor patio overlooking the harbour. Sundays bring free live music with drink deals from 4pm. Alongside the music it serves homemade pizza and pasta plus cocktails, wine and beer. The bar takes both original artists and covers on its house PA, and is a dependable, low-barrier grassroots stage in the heart of the Barbican.

Planning Your Tuesday Night

Arrive by 19:30 to sign up for a slot. Entry is free and the open mic typically runs until late. A PA is provided — bring your own instrument and amp.
