Getting Started
Click Get Started in the top navigation bar. Choose your account type (Artist, Venue, Promoter, or Booking Agent), enter your details, and verify your email address. You'll be able to start building your profile straight away.
GigXchange supports four account types: Artist (solo performers, bands, DJs), Venue (pubs, clubs, arenas, festivals), Promoter (event organisers), and Booking Agent (talent representatives). Each type has tailored features for its role in the live music ecosystem.
Creating an account and browsing the platform is free. GigXchange charges a small service fee on confirmed bookings to cover payment processing and platform costs. Full pricing details are displayed before you confirm any booking.
Bookings
Browse profiles or post an opportunity. When you find a match, send a booking enquiry with your proposed date, fee, and details. The other party can accept, decline, or counter-offer. Once both sides agree, the booking is confirmed and appears on both calendars.
Yes, bookings can be cancelled before the event date. Cancellation terms depend on how far in advance the cancellation is made. We encourage both parties to communicate through the platform's messaging system to resolve any issues before cancelling.
After a booking is completed, both parties are invited to leave a review. Reviews include a star rating and written feedback. Reviews help build trust across the platform and are visible on public profiles.
Payments
Payments are processed securely through the platform. When a booking is confirmed, the agreed fee is held in escrow. After the event is completed and both parties confirm, funds are released to the performer or their agent. All transactions are tracked in your dashboard.
GigXchange accepts all major credit and debit cards. Bank transfers may be available for larger bookings. All payments are processed in GBP (£).
Account & Profile
Sign in and navigate to your profile from the sidebar. You can update your bio, photos, media links, genres, location, and availability at any time. A complete profile significantly increases your chances of getting booked or finding the right talent.
Click Sign In, then select Forgot Password. Enter the email address associated with your account and we'll send you a reset link. The link expires after 24 hours.
Yes. Contact us at support@gigxchange.co.uk to request account deletion. Please note that any active bookings must be resolved before your account can be removed.
