Highlights
What's on Stage
The Slaughtered Lamb runs music from a small basement room with a long-standing reputation among London singer-songwriters as a "first proper stage" — intimate, attentive, and right in the EC1 corridor that promoters scout from.
Wednesday open mic is 180 minutes with around 15 acts at 12 minutes. Solo and duo acoustic acts work best; full bands are uncommon because there's no drum kit and the bass amp situation is BYO.
Sign-up process
Sheet at the upstairs bar at 7pm. Acts are called in sign-up order. Arrive by 7pm for a guaranteed slot.
Getting there
34-35 Great Sutton Street, EC1V 0DX. 5 minutes from Farringdon (Thameslink, Elizabeth Line) and 7 minutes from Barbican. Buses 55, 153, 243 stop on Goswell Road.
The venue
Upstairs is a normal pub; the music room is downstairs. 18+ policy strictly enforced. Capacity in the basement is ~80 standing — fills early on Wednesdays. Kitchen serves until 9pm; tap selection is solid.
Part of the London live music scene.
